I kind of have the same question about my dog that recently passed, only after she was gone did someone suggest that she might be a DS. What do you guys think?

I found this sweet girl at about 8 wks old, she ran like the wind, jumped like a gazelle, swam like speeding fish, had the stamina of a freight train, the intelligence of well, more than me.. ha, the jaws of death, the disposition that stole my heart. I guess you could say she had all the qualities of a dutch, just would like some other opinions. I guess this pic is at about 7-8 yrs old.

Even if you think she might be a mix, I'm fine with that, she was the greatest companion in the world and I loved this dog with all my heart.

Oh, and she had the ears of a dutch too originally, she developed hematomas on both ears over the years

I am no expert, believe me. I can't even venture to guess. Hematomas are very bad for looks. Our cat had one and it caused his ear to completely fold over....to the point that I regularly check for infections because it can't get any air. It never affects our love for them or their personalities! She was very pretty...sorry about you losing her.

Sad about the ears. It's one of my favorite Dutch qualities. I always joke that we should have named ours Rader. Anyway, I'm no expert either but she looks Dutch to me. What was her bark like? They are usually super loud. Ear piercing loud. Dutchs love to talk a lot.

Maggie definately had that high bark for play I've heard on many of the Youtube vids I've sen when the other DS were barking. Im positive that she is at least part DS, and she had all the DS personality.. Thanks for taking a minute to respond, regardless of breed she was just 14 yrs of awesome pleasure.

The ears yes, I remember when she was little bitty a lady driving by and stopped an asked if Maggie was a dog..lol, said she had never seen any ears like tht in her life. It was a bit tramatic when the first ear hemotoma'd, one ear up one down, but after a bit you dont notice anymore.

Its very hard to say from one picture. Do you have any additional ones? 14 years ago, they were much less common than they are now, but not unheard of.

Either way she was very lucky to find herself in your care and love. I am sure she was as touched by your relationship as you were.
