Kella's DNA results

Well, the results are back. Knowing that DS is not one of the breeds in the Wisdom panel lists, Kella came back as half German Shepherd and quarter each Lab and Corgi. The GSD was expected, the lab was extremely questionable, and I can't find anything that I would say was corgi, unless it was the tortoishell type color on most of her body.( Slight saddle pattern still there, along with grey harness marks and britches). Her temperment could be more lab or soft GSD, and she has the smarts to match most of the actions talked about on this forum, so, whatever she is, she's mine, and I wouldn't trade her for anything.
I will still stay on, because there is so much information that can be applied to most dogs. The people are interesting and caring also. I may also look into a DS in the future as well. :yernuts: My thanks to all of you for the support and information for all dogs and partners. :wtg:

A close friend of mine ran DNA on her DS (from known lineage, though mixed KNPV) and it came up with the craziest results. She supposedly had Pug and Portuguese Water Dog in her recent generations. The DNA tests looks for known and recorded genetic markers. When they don't find it, they look for something similar.

:lmao: :lmao:
Lord, if there was either Pug or Portuguese water dog in my DS's, I'd ditch them. :g_wink:

@ Mara (Kella's person) I agree with you. I do see the GSD, but the rest? Not so much. Please stick around here though. Turns out that even if you have a DS's it would not test DS, so your guess is still as good as theirs. ;)
