Dutch Shepherd Forum

So I am almost certain that my dog Shadowfax is a Dutch shepherd. I adopted her from a shelter and all they had listed for her was Dutch shepherd which I totally agree with. I'm just not sure what else she is. Does anyone have any ideas what she could be?

And I'm sorry the pictures aren't of a very good quality. If you'd like to see more let me know.

Hard to see in the first pic, but think some more front shots need to be posted to make a guess.

Here is a picture from the front.

Based on the second picture - I would say Dutch Shepherd and bullfrog! Also explains the blunt nose.

I would agree with the possible pitbull link... I've had two pitbull mixes, my old Rottie/Pit, Cedar, (and he used to do the "Frawg-dawg" pose, as I called it when he did the thing with laying on his belly and his legs frogged out behind him, *lol*) And Maiyou, who I still have, she's now 12. Her mother was a pitbull mix, and her father was a New Guinea Singing Dog. Like DS, the Singer has a pointier face and upright ears, and the shape of Maiyou's face isn't unlike Shadowfax's... with the wider cheekbones and ears with the tops folded down but set on a base that looks like an upright-ear beginning.

Those pictures are HILARIOUS! What a cutie. I'm seconding...or thirding the pit. Gives the nice face widening.
