Smoke/Fire alarm beeps...agh.

So, just moved to a new place and the landlord replaced the batteries on our alarms. We have three...god knows why. Smoke, fire, and carbon monoxide - or something to that effect. ONE of them keeps beeping. Just randomly, sometimes twice a day sometimes more. Ellie seems SO upset when it beeps. It is a very high pitched beep, but she keeps doing low "woofs" and pacing around like she's uncomfortable for an entire minute afterwards. It makes me think that there continues to be like a high pitched noise that I just can't hear following the beep.

Does anyone or has anyone ever had this problem or know about whether the alarms are super painful to pups?

:duh:

Has she ever been trained to a remote training collar or underground fence system? I have seen that reaction many times at the vet clinic I worked for when our heartworm test timers would go off. But it was always dogs who had experienced that noise in conjunction with a correction.

I never EVER thought of that. I've never used noise correction for her, but I have no idea what her history was prior to when I got her at 6 months. That's interesting...
