No, I was talking to a friend outside and totally forgot there was deer poop in the yard, i never have to watch Thalie because she never goes anywhere, so while I was talking she stealthily went to the poop and had at it.

Deer poop isn't stinky mom. Its little tiny pellets and everything. You are so mean!

I agee with Christie. Poor Thalie, just deer poop. Tell her that there are DS's in Texas who roll whenever the get a chance, in the most nasty sticky stinky stuff, orignin unknown. (and their post rolling-bath is usually outside)

There's something about stinky poop an DSs. My GSD never rolled in stinky poop. Geyser? Have to watch her every minute (this is something I do not allow, and she agrees with Judith and Christie about it ).

HAHAHAH you guys are so funny !!! I wont let Thalie read them. I agree leigh, in my horse days when the farm was full of great poop from many animals, my pitt/rott never rolled in anything, neither did anyone elses dog ! there must be something in the genes of DS that predisposes them to deer poop.

Mine just rolls on the worms that come out of the ground when it rains...

Wow, Sue, that's a new one! I've heard of (and dealt with) dogs rolling in all manner of stuff, poop, sure, dead things, oh yeah! (To a dog "eau de carrion" must be like, chanel, or something...) But drowned worms... Huh... I have genuinely not heard that one.

I havent heard of rolling in worms either, I bet its not the worms but the nice fresh dirt !

Nope, its the worms. They come out onto the pavement and she rolls on them. The other day we were at the park in the field and she started rolling on something. I went to look, and yup, she found a worm in the grass there!

And its only been worms she's rolled on...weird!!!

Well, worms ain't so bad, especially if they mostly come out after the rain .

Geeze, that reminds me of some fun my two little bros and I had when we were really wee. After it rained, the nightcrawlers and etc. would line the streets in the gutters, and we'd walk along collecting them in jars, then put them into our sandbox. Big fun . Then we just ended up with a sandbox with all these dried up squiggly things in it .

Well, fresh out of the rain, they are clean so not that bad (but the ground is wet).

However, she ALSO rolls on the dried up squiggly ones And sometimes those ones get stuck to her fur
