Seems Harvey is perking up a bit after being here for a week. He's also become quite the popular pup in the neighborhood but he's a looker so no surprise. Seems the more chew toys he uses the more his ears perk up.

so how much does he weigh now? Saki and Xan are not that humongous. weighed in at 55 yesterday. i think they will both settle around 70

At 8 month's he was 29 lbs last Friday when he was weighed. He seems bigger in his pics though. He's also in trouble right now, he chewed up my boot laces while I was getting ready for work. Just figure I can't leave without them....

My guitar videos have even become more interesting with him around... he loves blues and jazz but lord help me if I play anything that's rock or metal... now to teach him to whine in key with the music like pink floyd's Mademoiselle Nobs... haha

Yay, musical dogs! One of my dogs is half "Singer" (New Guinea Singing Dog,) and yes, she sings! It's fun, in my house, we'll all do a group howl, then everybody gets cookies! Used to have 3 dogs and it made for quite the chorus! You just reminded me it's about time to introduce our new Moko to this tradition! I'll let you know how it goes.

I bought Harvey another of the wounded warrior project dog toys since he's all but desqueaked the first one... spent 8 hours listening to this.

Hour 8 when he finally called it quits and went to grab his blanket (spoiled pup has his own blanket he carrys around)
8 hours later (with a 2 mile run break in the middle he's finally called down.

Someone's ears are starting to stand more!

the squeaky toy video got my pups all riled up and circling the computer to make a kill. had to repeat it for the thrill of it.

TraceDog was a big fan of folk music of any variety, nationality, etc. liked a lot of music, but always sought out folk if heard it while out exploring.
he was also quite the singer, though in the last couple years, his voice deteriorated, so his singing was less complex, less beautiful, and less frequent, but his last good attempt at recreating his singing past i managed to catch on video -- and when i played it back on tv at home, he made a duet with himself. a video of that is posted [ 7th or 8th down from the top] at www.youtube.com/tracesobaka

One of the coolest things I've seen/heard was our MWDs howling to the, "call to prayer" in the middle east. It's the most beautiful/haunting things I've ever experienced.

On the musical dog topic, we did our first group howl with Moko the other day! He has a very nice singing voice! *lol* He even shot a sideways look at Maiyou and tried to imitate her modulation after his initial wolf-howl styled song.

I read your post about the military dogs and the call to prayer to my fiancee, himself a Marine and iraq war veteran, and asked if he'd heard that. He shook his head and said he hadn't but he can imagine it and it must have been something!

Awww he's so handsome I can't wait to follow the pics as he gets older, don't worry if those ears don't stand up our ds has the points floppy and it is purely amusing as he walks and the flap around it's cute! they all have such different characters <3 love them!!!

This is the closest I could find, just replace those pups with some dutchies and malinois pups. It's something I'll never forget.
On a lighter note his ears are standing more and more as the days go on and he's already at 34 lbs while still looking sort of skinny, atleast to me. Then again Im used to our hounds that were chunky pups and grew into it.

Either I'm going insane or Harvey has been going through a growth spert. He didn't seem that big when I left for work haha
