I don't know Radar's previous life, but I do know that he came to me with some basic training including house, leash, and the sit command.

He also had a bad accident - a large and severe chemical burn on his left side. I pray that it's an accident, because the alternative of abuse makes me lose faith in humanity.

As you can see the hair is starting to grow back in, and the scar will likely be unnoticeable as he grows older.

I did not know what I was getting when I saw his face on the Miami-Dade Shelter website, but I knew I had to meet him, and I knew in an instant that he was coming home with me. Oh, and someone hand-wrote "Awesome Dog" on his paperwork in front of his stall at the shelter - the only dog there with a hand-written note.

I am pretty sure he's a Dutch - they labeled him as a Shepherd-Mix - but he certainly matches everything I've learned about the breed.
