On my rare trip to McDonalds I found a lost dog weaving through the cars in the drive thru. When I asked the woman in the window she said the dog had been out there all day so I scooped her up. She's a little porker with well trimmed nails and knows basic commands so I'm working on finding her family. Until then, Harvey has a feisty little friend.
Tomorrow I'm taking her to get checked out and see if she's chipped.

Thanks, yea it was a little sketchy at first but they're getting along for the most part. Harvey has been his usual self pushing her buttons. Earlier she was sleeping and he kept lightly tapping her ear and acting surprised when she woke up. He kept that going for about 15 minutes until she caught him and I thought I had a banshee get released in the living room by the sound she made (weirdest bark/growl I've ever heard). Now he seems to find it funny to keep annoying her... that's my dog, pushing everyone's buttons... we were made for each other haha





She's a lazy little butterball though. I throw the ball and she'll wait till Harvey brings it back then steals it from him.

Good on you for stepping in and doing something to help! So many people would (and apparently already did,) just go about their day and either not even notice or choose not to get involved with just one more random dog.

You'll have to keep us updated on your progress with finding her folks!

The sad part was the car in front of me had a "Lowndes county humane society" stick on the bumper but didn't do anything about her when she was walking around in front of them. Turns out she wasn't chipped but I found a family that has a bigger place and will keep her till they find her family.

One of my 'pups' was found at a McDonalds drive through once. She did have a chip. The good samaritan who picked her up never found any 'lost' posters for her, but the chip lead to me, and then the owner who was gracious enough to let the samaritan (who had totally fallen in love!) have the dog. Turns out, the dog had gotten out of the yard few dats earlier, after a tornado blew the privacy fence over. Happy endings happen. I hope your foster finds her way home soon.
