We are a family of rescues, (yeah, me included), in Southern California. My wife and I currently have two dogs, a Golden Retriever/ GSD mix by the name of Morgan, and our DS mix(?), Dinga Roo. We had never even heard of a Dutch Shepherd before until we were stalked by this nice lady in the pet store who asked us if Roo was a DS. Dang if that lady wasn't on to something. I just found this site, so here we are....

I love this. Odin's the exact same way with his ball. Right now he has the boomer ball. I like the texture of those better than the Varsity balls and for half the price, I think that's what we're sticking with. Mysteriously, his ball vanished the day after Elli got here. I think he rolled it into the neighbor's woods and forget about it.
The boomer ball we have is the 10" one and it's worked out great for both of them. I do sand the rough spots down periodically though to prevent nose cuts.

Funny story...he and the schnauzer almost chased one right into the house... they were playing keep away with one that they had caught, my step-son opens the back door just as one of them dropped it...almost went right in. Is the boomer ball not slick like the varsity ball? I do like the price better...MUCH better...on the boomer balls. - Tell us about yourself: I've had Belgian Malinois for years at my folks. I just got married, and a friend of mine who does search and rescue, had been keeping an eye out for Mali puppies for me. He came across a 9 month old Dutch Shepherd female pup who needed a home. She doesn't have the nerves to do the search and rescue she was intended for, but is perfect pet material. She's enough of a challenge to be alot of fun :)
