Hi guys, we have had Sasha for a couple of years and just discovered she has ear tattoos. I had noticed the marks before, but never could get a close enough look in good light to figure out what they were. This weekend, we sat outdoors at our daughter's tennis tournament and finally got a good look. The left ear is marked JL27, the right ear says RTA.

Can anybody provide a clue as to what this means, or point me toward a resource where it can be traced?

Generally an ear tattoo is not traceable.

Every breeder has their own "code."

For the life of me I'm forgetting what Cino's tattoo is - plus it is no longer readable. But it is something initials for the breeder, the litter letter, a number (birth order) and something to designate m/f...

ditto what Eric said. I cant read Thalie's anymore, but I think its her birthdate and the breeder.
