aside from the first several photos which were considered as ''Daredevil'' entries, these photos are from the same adventure that did get entered in ''Daredevil''. we were walking along a beach about 1st october where we had been walking for a couple weeks when the dogs suddenly decided for the first time to explore the vertical properties of the location. these shots are all pretty long-distance [ up and away ] with the dogs usually moving wildly and at top speed, so there are no elegant images of DSs, but if you can get your head around how high, rough and steep this bluff is [not easy from the photos], then the images get interesting despite not being great photography. only one other time have i seen them come close to having so much intense fun - and here they really seemed to push themselves to their limits.

re 1st photo, though the pups did not obey the speed limit, they did harass any boat that did not. --- while Saki is hiding, you can tell that Xander and Tracer are indignant about the low speed limit.
re 2nd photo, the pups about to be pounded by big ocean wave.
re 3rd, between me and others in the neighborhood, Tracer is more often than not referred to as The Devil.
re 4th photo, Tracer seems to know no boundaries and Xander is always shocked how nervy he can be.

the first photo [not from this adventure but taken on a prior walk] has their cliff-bounding playground as a back-drop. [ about 30 feet up there is a 35+ foot tree on top of bluff.]
the 14th [!] photo has Sakima in upper left making his way over a lip that juts out at the top of the bluff;
in next photo he is on top of the bluff where none of the rest of us have ever been

fantastic photos. They sure are having a blast.

I sure do wish we lived closer...Tyson would LOVE hanging out and [literally] running with your pack.

Sharon, it is funny you say that. many years ago, a very prominent NewYorker - very impressed with the overall quality and excitement of TD's life - started telling people he hoped to be reincarnated as my next dog ---that he thought the timing might be perfect. it turns out he was 17 months off target, dying on the eve of Christmas.
i think i was present the first time he announced this - and it was funny because it had the tone and form of one of his typical-for-him announcements which frequently made their way into the news media. he meant it so seriously that people around him were stunned and started looking at each other and whispering. [ he had elaborated that he would do everything he could to make it happen and hoped reincarnation was for real.]
