Hi there and welcome to the group. There are few members on this forum who own long haired Dutch Shepherds and I am sure they will love sharing their expertise.
If you don't mind, we would love it if you would create a signature so we know who you are
Also, if you have the time, please tell us about yourself. What drew you to Dutch Shepherds, or do you own one already? Of course, we all like to swoon over pictures!!

Greetings
For a more indepth look at the Longhaired Dutch Shepherd, you might like to go to this website.
http://www.longhairworld.net It covers their history in both text as well as photographic, with tons of lovely photos of Longhairs.
There are also numerous European websites belonging to breeders and owners of LH-DS (aka: LH-HH)
The Netherlands (NHC) breed club website features all 3 types, RH (rough hair) LH (long hair) SH (short hair)
http://www.hollandseherder.nl
There are also several owners and breeders in the USA with weblinks as well. Where are you located?
Regards,
