Howdy from Mid Michigan! I found this forum while searching for clues to identify the breed of a pup we found running around the freeway. I didn't want to be rude, so I thought I'd post an intro, since I posted in the "is this a DS" board as well.

If it's ok with y'all, I'll hang out for awhile until Mr. Pup starts looking like something besides a generic brindle puppy.

We also have a fifteen ish month old GSD smooth collie mix who was rescued from a shelter in Indiana.

Oh man, if Dutch Shepherds are crazier than GSDs, I guess I better stock up on the booze right now.

He spent fifteen minutes alternately barking at and hiding from his own reflection in the oven door.

You may want to search this forum for "crazy hour" aka "demonic possession hour" as someone posted on your other thread. I don't know if they all go through it, but you're in for a treat if he does.

For Radar, we experienced this daily shortly after the evening meal, and it lasted until about six months ago. He'll be about 3 years old in December.

BTW: hour is only a loose term of how long.

Also, as far as crazy as a GSD, I think I would call it too smart for their own good or wicked smart.

Radar still does crazy hour for us a couple times a month.

You can't help but love them anyway.

What a cute pup. Xander just got done with crazy hour. Now he wants to play ball. And I don't know why everyone says run to the liquor store. Don't drink. It makes the next day harder when they want to play again and you are hung over. Lol

Hahaha! I don't get drunk too much. I'm old and it makes me sleepy. Also with 4 kids still running around the house, I need my wits about me.

Currently scouring Craigslist and similar for agility equipment. I got rid of the equipment I had with my previous GSD because we were moving and there wasn't room for it. I could kick myself. I never thought I'd get another dog, and here I am with two who need jobs.
