I am looking to for a rough coat to adopt or purchase. I will adopt an adult male or female 3-5 years old. I am a long time dog owner and dog less for the moment. My dog will live with me indoors . I spend half the year in the city with a fended back yard near a big park where we both walk and the other half on 5 ac in upstate NY in dairy country.

Please e mail me if you have any possibilities.

Thanks

Al

I'm sorry to hear of your companion's passing. So hard.

Consider contacting NADSR. I think rough coats are hard to come by but they might have an "in."

Is a DS one of other breeds you are considering?

What general area of upstate? Big place. I live in upstate. You can hardy turn your head without seeing a dairy farm. :D

Hi Al,

Welcome back. I understand you're still looking for a rough coat. I loved seeing that old post pop back up, because there's some great photos in there. Unfortunately, your post kind of takes that thread in the wrong direction.

I recommend you respond here. Tell us a story about your search, and maybe you'll reach someone that knows someone that can help you.

Thanks.

There was a member on here a while back that was going/did breed a pair of rough coat DS somewhere on the east coast.... I am not aware if they still breed or not, or if they ever did breed. Other then that I am not aware of any rough coat breeders or ones available for adoption as they are very rare in the US and most are imported, from what I understand.
