New UKC Champion!

My friend and I want to show how versatile the DSD really is. So we plan to play the title game...mostly for fun, the dogs love learning new things and a busy Dutchie is a happy Dutchie. Last weekend we hit up a UKC dog show. Kitsune is now a UKC Champion...she also has 2 of the 3 needed legs for her weight pull title, hope to get the 3rd this coming weekend. She didn't exactly love running around the ring looking pretty, but she put up with it really well. Came home with three Group 1 wins out of 6 tries, with competition in the rings. I was so proud of her, some probably remember the issues we have had with strangers and I was concerned with how she would do with the judges walking up on us and needing to touch her and check her bite. She did great, I showed her bite, and made sure I had her head when they were going over her...but she never growled. She totally shocked the stuffing out of me. I am not sure what we will try next, rally, herding, scent work...all the while she is a total rock star on the IPO field. So very proud of my baby girl...she just turned one the end of October, and has a lot of filing out to do, but I think she is a beauty :)

CONGRATS!!!!! You must be sooooo proud!!! I personally vote for scent work - she'll love it and it's perfect to play wth indoors on bad weather. Plus if she's had any tracking training for IPO it will help.

Thanks guys!

Good thinking, this time of year herding would suck LOL.
She is doing tracking on club days, she is at the point of following 2 turns and not needing food every step. I will look more into scent work.
