An H story

I thought it was about time to post an H story. He has been a very good boy but when this happened it cracked me up.

A little backstory: when my parents are over, H attention heels next to my mom anytime she has food. If she's in the kitchen he goes running in there. Why? Because she is constantly giving him things off her plate or treats from the stash she keeps, despite my constant nagging to stop or at least do OB and hiding of the treats. I mean if he even thinks he hears a clink from the kitchen and he knows my mother is in the house, he goes running to the kitchen.

So I'm on the couch and H comes trotting in and puts his head on my leg. I look over and he's giving me puppy eyes. I ask him what does he want, and gives a slow, sad wag with his tail. We stare at each other and he gives this sad sigh. Like melodramatic sigh. I ask him again what does he want. He sits, still looking at me, and puts his paw on my leg and sighs again. I'm beginning to seriously wonder if he's feeling okay. He glances at the door, then sighs again and curls up next to my feet. I ask him if he wants a walk, he glances up at me and looks away. I ask him if he's hungry and I get a small tail wag. I'm beginning to wonder what's wrong when my phone rings. I pick it up and put it on speaker. It's my mom. H bounces up, tail wagging so hard his butt is wiggling, and jumps up to kiss me, then runs off to the kitchen. He then proceeds to zoomie around, the kitchen his pausing place, before he comes back with a big ass grin. I pause. Yup, it's been about three weeks since he's seen her. "Hey mom? H says he wants you to come over. He apparently is depressed he isn't getting grandma snacks." He then proceeds to walk into the kitchen and lay down, refusing to move until she came over.

Don't mess with H and his grandma snack time. Lol.

H obviously has ESP, knowing your mom was going to call just before she did.

I am wondering if that qualifies as a "Smarty Pants."

He knows every little schedule and routine if it comes to grandma... Me? Naaaaaaaah lol. I dunno... I still haven't told the "how H learned how to open doors" adventure... That may be even better.
