im a single parent, go to school. I'm 25 years old. We have a 10 year old small dog (12lbs) and will soon be adding a dutchie to our family

Do you have pictures of the new DS yet?

If you've read a few posts on here (I hope you have), you can see that this isn't the easiest breed in the world. Lots of exercise and a job or your looking at trouble.

Anyway, I am going to ask a couple of questions. Please remember that I am thinking about the best interest for you and your new pal.

First, it sounds like you've got a real busy life, and the last thing that's going to work for your DS is lots of home alone time. Do you have a support structure in place so he/she doesn't spend long periods alone?

Second, small animals (even other dogs) can be like prey for the DS. Have you had the DS and your little dog together?

Please keep in mind that a DS is a long term commitment and lots of hard work, regardless of the cute ears.
