Problems with login - too many login attempts

All,

On this forum I have received a few complaints.... and I have seen the problem on some other forums I belong to. All of them are PHPBB forums (the software we use) - it is one of the most common forum software's.

You will try to log into the forum and get a message that you have tried too many times.

From what I'm reading there are new "bots" out there scraping the PHPBB forums for user names and attempting to guess what your password is.

Please be make sure your password is unique and complex .. what does this mean? Don't use a password for this website that you use on all of your other websites. Also, you should use a password that is at least 8 characters long and uses Upper case, lower case, numbers and special characters.

So far we have not seen any compromise of the software itself nor have we seen any bizarre postings on the forum.

If you have a problem with this, please follow the system prompts to get logged in again. If your password is common, short, or not complex please consider updating it.

Tell us about yourself: Had a GSD, am getting a DS puppy in a few weeks. Compete in agility, obedience, and cross train in tons of stuff. Found out about this site from the DS Rescue yahoo list.

Eric, where in our control panel can we change our password? I tried to find it... :huh:
