Hey Leih,
To say that I like this puppy would be completely untrue. I absolutely LOVE her.
I picked her up at the Louisville airport. When I FINALLY found her, she was messy (14 hours in a crate will do that to any 8 week old) and barking like a little wild dog. I was like "Great, what have I gotten myself into?" In the parking garage I tossed her in the backseat, so he could get out of her messy crate, and started driving. Within 2 minutes, she had wormed her way to the front, put her front feet on my shoulders and the onslaught of kisses began.
It was late, so I decided to pull over and stay the night in a motel. She hopped out of the car with me and walked, tail in air, into the motel. She has been the picture of confidence ever since. That night I slept with her and a Frenchie in the room. She plopped onto the bed (exhausted, I'm sure from her adventure that day) and didn't wake up until about 7 the next morning. Now, I have to say that I don't make it a habit to let 8 week old puppies sleep in bed with me

She has been in a crate at night since. But I was thoroughly impressed.
In the last week and a half, she has proved herself to be a ninja - scaling baby gates (not so convenient), sneaking into and out of everything and bracing herself against a fence to climb on a dog house just to get a better view. She's a house dog and will chill on the couch when she is tired, but her periods of "tired" are getting shorter. Last night we had her, Dante, Willow, Rowdy (Matt's mastiff mix) and the Frenchies all in the livingroom while we watched TV. She would check in occasionally, but she didn't irritate the other dogs at all. She just casually helped herself to a nylabone and parked herself on the floor to chew. She was out for about 2 hours. We then took a break to go outside, she peed and came right back in to hang out with the big dogs.
So far, she is just very cool in every way: athletic, smart, independent and still kinda likes me
