We were in PetCo and I was surprised to find they had them there. She wasn't too impressed (even with the wonderful squeak) until we took it outside and she realized it would fly through the air, then squeak when she caught it! After that, it was ON! Only drawback for us was how SLIMY it was trying to throw it!

Couldn't remember where the original Cuz thread was to post there.......and I would post a picture, but my hubby has the camera with him. He drove our son to Annapolis, MD today - he's being inducted at the US Naval Academy tomorrow. Mom and Sally are taking turns having meltdowns!

Klein loves his CUZ! Unfortunately, he got the squeaker out perhaps the first night! It's rattling around inside and he can't get it out. He still seems to like the rattle sound. It's a pretty tough toy! I did notice today, though, that he is making progress on removing the feet.

Hope Sasha has as much fun with hers as Klein does!!

So far it's been an outside/playtime toy - something new that bounces a little bit differently when you throw it. More reason to practice her ballet leaps - she LOVES to jump! She doesn't seem very inclined to want to chew on anything just while hanging out in the house. She did chew on a rope/hoof toy we got her, but I guess that seemed more like a bone!

We tried school with Sally again today and it went MUCH better. I think Sasha was, of course, trying to stay right with Sally in the classroom and was getting overwhelmed by the many tables, chairs, kids walking everywhere. So we bought a foam mat and I went in with them this morning and found a nice quiet, out of the way spot in each of the three areas (it's a huge room sort of partitioned off into 3 sections) where Sally could put the mat and Sasha could just chill.....she can still see Sally, but she's out of the way and off limits to anyone poking at her. Sally said she loved it! She let Sally know when she needed a potty break (just twice during the day) and of course she did her silly "lay on my back, wiggle around, grin really big, make a total clown of myself" thing and entertained everybody!

(Just kidding) Best of luck and no need for meltdowns. We have not had any nasty sea wars since the 1700's and that was between Great Brittain and Holland.
(all kidding aside. Yes, I do know that all forces stand the chance to be deployed, but I would not start fretting about that just yet?)

No, it's not the fighting aspect of it - it's my baby leaving home!! And going to a place where people will yell at him 24/7!! And the fact that he's the best cook in the family - that's probably the worst part!

Oh dangit, yes. Losing a cook just before the 4th of July is devastating!
