Hello. I am adopting a puppy from a rescue. She arrives tomorrow! I'm curious to hear your expert opinions as to whether the rescue got her breed right. Mom appears to be a Dutch shepherd to me, and I definitely dont assume all brindle dogs are DS just to be clear. Puppy is dark brindle but her markings dont show well due to poor lighting in these pictures. I've seen a video and her ears do stand but head shape has me questioning if they have breed correct. Moms ears do flop. An embark test is definitely in our future but I've read Embark doesnt have DS in their breed database yet.

No mention of the father , so he could be anything.
Mother is a cross at best, but that doesn’t bother that pup in the least.

At that age it's really difficult to determine breed. I can tell you that my Radar's brindle was difficult to see when he was younger, but as he's gotten older it is more pronounced.

all of the pups look like a mix of everything, I see rottweiler marks on one of them. The brindle could even be from a pitt.
