Dutch Shepherd Forum

This is my dog Ivan. I got him at an SPCA and they marked him as a "smooth collie mix." He is 5 years old and acts like a herding dog when playing fetch but otherwise is a loyal follower and he is very gentle and quiet. He is bigger than a border collie but just smaller than a german shepherd. It would be awesome to hear opinions from people who know more about dog breeds than I do. I just found out about Dutch shepherds, so I don't know a lot, sorry for my ignorance.

The SPCA has to put down something in regards to the dog’s breeding. More likely than not, your dog is a mixture of more than two breeds.

I doubt there is DS in there. Collies are herding dogs too so they would have the same characteristics
