America's Top Dog Premieres Jan 8

Did you see a Dutch Shepherd somewhere? Out in public? On Television? In a movie?

I am caught up on the episodes, and I am completely dumbfounded by the fact that the Dutch Shepherds (or their handlers) are performing poorly.

It's impossible for me not root for them and then suffer the disappointment.

However, I am a Miami Dolphins fan, so I guess I should be used to it.

I actually enjoyed the last episode . The Dutch Shepherd I thought did really well considering his age. For only 18 months old, he did great.....plus he is huge.

I hadn't realized until I mentioned the show to Bramble's trainer just how much work and preparation goes into the show. He said he had to turn down the invitation because of the time commitment. I give the handlers a lot of credit.

LOL I must be hardheaded and stubborn.
I guess before and after results with dogs tend to show the effort put into them.

I think they do that very poorly.
The roof is open so scent blows aroud everywhere and since the law enforcement dogs get confused a lot so I'd guess someone in the gaffers crew uses.

I actually enjoyed the finale.

I was hoping for Falco and Mattis, but Kai is really amazing.

Good news - A&E has scheduled to air new episodes of America's Top Dog on June 29.

Even better news... My trainer will be in one of the episodes competing with her Malinois named Magnus.

Magnus is a big boy, and my trainer is a petit but extremely fit woman. They will actually be in the first episode.

I can't wait to talk to her about it. She's been traveling lately.

I wonder if she thinks my opinion that the handlers make or break the competitors is true.

I didnt realize just how true that is till I watched the show. All those times handlers just didn't trust the dogs.

Of course, says me, a terrible handler.
