Hello, I've had German Shepherds all my life—a breed I'm still in love with. A few days ago, I had to say goodbye to my dog. Now that I'm retired and have more time, I'm thinking about trying a Dutch Shepherd from the KNPV line. I'm part of a Mondioring group, but I prefer Dutch Shepherds over Malinois, so I'll be bringing home a female soon. I also want to mention that Mondioring is just a fun activity for us; what I'm really looking for is a companion to spend time with—my wife, the dog, and me.

Hopefully you already know that KNPV isn't a line but an association, which can include various registered and unregistered dogs, often crossing dutch shepherds with malinois. Make sure you know what you're getting Most people do not actually need a high intensity police dog.
