Tell us about yourself: I am in New York State. Got my first DS about 14 years ago (more or less as a rescue- lost her in Nov.). After years of GSD's, and a few dogs of other breeds (Rotti/Beauceron/Ger. Shorthaired Pointer/ Yorkie and my current Jack Russell) I now have another DS, 4mo female, no name yet, tho I have a few in mind.
Also have a horse-old quarter horse mare-32.
Can't wait for all the snow to get gone! Spring is coming too slow this year!

Tell us about yourself: I adopted a Dutch Shepherd mix (without knowing what she was) from the SPCA here in Victoria BC and am now trying to learn everything I can about this breed. My husband and I work from home most of the time so I thought it was time to get a puppy! We have his 2 boys here half the time and we wanted a nice family dog.

Sugar looks like a miniature Dutch Shepherd with floppy ears, and has every ounce of DS traits in her little body!

I hope to learn from other DS owners and share doggy experiences.

Great Marjolein. Ivil and Shadow make a fine couple so this looks very promising for the pups to be delivered. Hope everthing will work out well.

Saw this news on your website Marjolein, best of luck!! Ivil and Shadow are two gorgeous looking dogs, even heard someone say recently what a lovely litter it should be, makes me kinda upset we're waiting another year or so to get a puppy

I have to agree with you Emily. I have mostly old-timers now, some are very old. But within the next year or so, I'll be thinking of adding a new pup. Ok, ok, I am already 'thinking' about it! :D Just have to wait. (God, please grant me much needed patience. )

whaha, let's wait and see if she is carrying anything first... (judging from her increased food-stealing abilities I'd say "yes") :dsroll:

I've been waiting for a pup from "a certain line" for over a year now... waiting to hear if she has been bred...ARG! this takes SO long!!! Pretty sure the breeder is sick and tired of my mails by now :D  Hopefully I will have a nice litter to keep me busy so time will just fly by :D

ow, and on amazing puppies, a well known breeder in Holland :borg: once bred with two champion dogs, super good looking, very nice characters, and guess what... worst litter ever! Long legs, out of proportion etc. He even spayed the femal after that  good + good = not always good...

nope :) Just imagine a breeder keeping one from each litter  But I like to keep track of them, still get updates on almost all dogs of the first litter :)

This was Ivil yesterday (dec 6th)

I spend a lot of time on the couch with her now, my hand on that fat belly, you can feel the pups move. To me that alone is just fantastic, this feeling of little life inside mom...wow...
Hopefully all will go well and we will have pups soon!
