I slept for a bit, rough night :D We have 5 males 4 females, all doing well. Ivil is doing very well, proud mom :D Some were pretty big, but still it took her only a bit over 2 hours to sqeeuze all 9 out. Vet is coming later on, but I do not see any problems, pretty sure she is empty and happy :)

Tell us about yourself: I am in New York State. Got my first DS about 14 years ago (more or less as a rescue- lost her in Nov.). After years of GSD's, and a few dogs of other breeds (Rotti/Beauceron/Ger. Shorthaired Pointer/ Yorkie and my current Jack Russell) I now have another DS, 4mo female, no name yet, tho I have a few in mind.
Also have a horse-old quarter horse mare-32.
Can't wait for all the snow to get gone! Spring is coming too slow this year!

Great news! Glad the whelping went well. Once the uterus goes down a bit you should be able to palpate to see if she's empty. How nice that your Vet makes house-calls!
Wish I could bring one over, Lyric would love a little sister.

Tell us about yourself: I adopted a Dutch Shepherd mix (without knowing what she was) from the SPCA here in Victoria BC and am now trying to learn everything I can about this breed. My husband and I work from home most of the time so I thought it was time to get a puppy! We have his 2 boys here half the time and we wanted a nice family dog.

Sugar looks like a miniature Dutch Shepherd with floppy ears, and has every ounce of DS traits in her little body!

I hope to learn from other DS owners and share doggy experiences.

If a Dutch shepherd is born in Germany, does it become a German shepherd?
5-4, nice number. All spoken for? (no, I don't want one, just curious) ;)

LOL!

Looks like they are all spoken for. After all, Dingo was best short-hair this year at the clubmatch. :g_wink:

Tell us about yourself: Had a GSD, am getting a DS puppy in a few weeks. Compete in agility, obedience, and cross train in tons of stuff. Found out about this site from the DS Rescue yahoo list.

So precious! Just hours old...the youngest ones I've seen.

I LOVE your first page on your website! First, I was gaga over the pawprint cursor, then when I finally figured out that the British flag would get me a version I could understand  , and clicked on that, and the dogs' heads turned...OMG! Too funny.

You must be exhausted. Ivil sure looks pooped (and rightly so).

Congratulations to all :stickman:

It's funny how everyone always seems to think if you have a male and female you breed them... But no, Dingo is Ivil's uncle (his brother Cybe is her dad). So no, they are Shadow's.
And yes all are spoken for. So no warm, brindled couch-heater for you Judith :dsrazz:

I'm feeding her Cavom :D Dutch brand of good no-nonsense dog food, pretty fat, working dog food. And raw once a week or so, sometimes a raw egg. And hardly any treats, she works for the normal kibble or dog-saucage (by RODI, no salt etc.)
