Had a phone call the second female Dingo bred (was about a week after that first one, Jasmijn) is carrying pups! 4 more weeks and we will know how many

the puppies were born almost a week ago! yay!
7 were born, the last male died, took to long for him to come out, when he did, his mouth was already open.
But we are totally happy with 6 little brindles!

Aww, such cute tiny pups!

I noticed the dog that is on the right hand side of the main section on that website where only the top half of the head is showing; that the markings on it between the eyes and the ears are just like Sugar's! Here is Sugar, and look at the dog on the link.

Congrats Dingo for becoming dad!

I looked at the breeder's web site and Brenda's info. They do a DNA test to know what kind of colors will be forwarded to the pups? But I did not see any hip/elbow/eye certificate. They don't do that in Germany?

very similar yes! I also know another female who also has this sort of round pattern very clearly

yes they do, you MUST before breeding (just like the brindle test, which in my opinion is nonsens...). In the "zuchtprotokoll" it's hard to read, but it says HD-A1 (best rating=no hip dysplasia) for Brenda at the top. At that time elbows (ED) were not obligatory yet. so it has not been done officially for her.
You can also see in Brenda's pedigree under the ancestors names it gives all the ratings, starting "HD-" and result either A or B. It's been explained on this board once, you guys have another way of writing it down, overhere HD-A =free HD-B = transitional case HD-C =mild HD, HD-D=severe HD HD-E= really really bad.

Adding to that, Dingo has HD-A1 ED 0/0 (best rating for hips and elbows) back/spine 100% good (back is not official, not possible to have it checked by an official yet)
Pictures were taken at the age of 6!! (had only done hips first time when he was 2, I had no clue about breeding or whatever back then...)

Not to get off topic from the adorable tiny brindle bundles of joy, (and can't wait to see more pics btw) but I am curious about the markings - are markings at all inherited, or just completely random from one brindle dog to another? Meaning, could Sugar possibly be related to this dog or the other one you know?

I would say no, I do not know of any of the ancestors in both these dogs to have been exported to the states. I think it is way more likely that this pattern as seen on the face is a natural expression of the brindle, it goes round a bit. For darker dogs, like Ivil, you will not see it as well, but many have them sort of shaped like that.
As for the pattern being random, yes it is, although it seems to me that if there are many darker (loads of stripes) dogs mate they tend to gat darker pups, and with 2 lighter (less stripes) parents you tend to get lighter pups.
In Ivil's litter we had all colours, her mom is really light,, grandma dark, dad was dark, his mom light, etc. So we get all shades

Also, I've been on the Dutch DS forum for about...7?? years and I can tell you, it's a DS-person thing to go off topic

sadie is light and has the pattern on her face too, she is one big pattern. I think its the DS and the DS owners who have ADD.

Thanks for the info. I didn't see the HD in the Zuchtprotokoll since I was looking for a certificate like the one I have from my Labs parents for hips and elbow, OFA or similar.

So the pups should all be super healthy with parents like that
