Stella and Nico

I haven't updated anything about Stella in a while! I've been so busy with the sign business and the kids! She's doing so good! Still very protective but I feel like I can control her completely. She does have to be kenneled or leashed when my kids have friends over but that is just a precaution and with 5 kids of my own we don't have friends over a whole lot. We are adopting another rescue DS! His name is Nico he's 16 months old and will be flying home to us next week from Florida! We have spent a lot of time looking for a DS (he is probably mixed with something) that would be a good match for her... he's very submissive to other dogs, friendly, has been very well socialized (unfortunately this came from him being bounced through two rescues and several foster homes). We can't wait to get him home! We're hoping opposites attract and she can learn to share space! Here lots of pictures!

So excited for you! Nico looks just like Stella. Do his ears stand? It really is so much better with 2 DSs. I was losing my mind for the first two days with Elli here, but Odin's completely fallen for her and they've gotten into a nice routine.

I still have to add you on instagram. I can't figure that app out. Some how my boss found me on there already, but I haven't added anyone.

I"ve met a lot of cool DS owners on IG.... I even do a little bit of advertising on there (not too much I leave most of that on my facebook "like" page) but I really prefer IG to facebook!

Nico's ears don't stand much at all. In one picture they seem to go half way up and fold over but in most of his pics they flop down like that one above. He had his sister with him in some of his pics (they were initially taken to animal control together as tiny puppies) and her ears stand up straight just like any other DS but she doesn't have the black mask... I thought maybe he looked like he was mixed with hound? His personality (as it's been described by the foster mom and the veterinarian who currently has him) is very well behaved.... lots of puppy energy but not drivey or reactive at all... he's only 50lbs too isn't that kind of small for a male?
