- Tell us about yourself: My name is Ben. I've been a dog lover for my entire life. I currently own a GSD (Hopper) and a Boxer (Phoebe). They are my kids and best friends.
As far as DS's go, I've never owned one and this is the reason I'm here. I'm looking to learn more about the breed since I'm thinking of adding one to my family.
Introducing Ginny
The newest addition to my family. I just picked her up from the airport last night. Even at a day over eight weeks old, she's already amazed me with her intelligence and personality. She's about 10 pounds of awesome sauce! More Photos to come

Thanks Asha, I do intend to. I had initially intended not to get another dog until later in the year. But when her breeder told me that she had a puppy in a litter that would be ready to come home in the beginning of Feb, I couldn't say no for some reason. I started to hope that Hopper would make it for a little while longer to get to know her. He was always so awesome with puppies.
Both, her mother and father, are fairly intense dogs so I expect her to be something of a spitfire growing up. She's already showing a bit of it I think. The night she got home my boxer tried to play with her a little roughly, she didn't back down at all. Actually stood her ground and let out this little growl and bark. I swear she was scolding a dog that is 10 times her size. I think she'll be amazing when she gets a bit older and begins training for protection sports. All that's in the future though, right now I'm just enjoying the cuteness of puppyhood.
Having said that.... here's today's puppy pic fix of Ginny

She came from Kole Mountain Kennels' "G" Litter out of Bor and Cleo. That's probably one of the reasons I couldn't say no. I absolutely love the look of both of those dogs.
She's already kindof becoming a terror... she's been in the house for two days now and has claimed it all. Like she's never been anywhere else. I think I've got everything prepared... all my puppy supplies and a fresh tab at the liquor store.
And all just in time for February's photo contest. I've got the rest of the month to squeeze all of the cuteness out of her.

I don't think I could pass up that puppy either, if I were looking for another dog right now. That's going to be a whole lot of dog. I can't remember if you posted about it before, but do you have any sport plans for her? My PSA trainer used Bor a few years ago in a litter and has a pup he kept. He's a nice solid dog. I do plan to work her in protection sports. What I was most interested, when I first started researching, was PSA. Unfortunately the middle of the country is fairly devoid of that particular sport. I found a club about two hours away from me that trains in both IPO and Mondio. I've been attending their training for a few weeks now. The trainers are awesome and the people are really friendly. I've already scheduled some training sessions with their trainer and would really like to pursue Mondio. That's all depends on whether Ginny's temperament is appropriate as she grows but I really don't anticipate any problems in that area at all
All in all, I'm incredibly excited about having her and for the potential that I think I already see in her.

Lol, i placed a reservation at Meg for bor x ember (cleo x reppie) female puppy for next year . I still think Bor is the prettiest dog we've ever bred

Selena, not that I've seen all of your dogs, but Bor is one of the prettiest dogs I think I've ever seen. Cleo has a slightly different look (at least in the coat) but is gorgeous as well. The broad powerful build and slightly square head structure gives them both such a pretty but authoritative look. If Ginny looks a bit like either when she's an adult I'll count myself as blessed. 
Meg did give me three weeks before I start asking myself WTF I've gotten myself into. I guess we'll see

SUCH a good-looking pup. (I get a lump in my throat whenever I see a photo of Bor. Such an impressive beast.)
Though I can only hope to become the person who my animals believe I am, the things that they have taught me have made me a better human being. ~~~Sharon~~~
