My experience is that it's not in the breed it's in the training. How you train your dog and the training of the dog you introduce them too. How well do you know your dog?
I started socializing my ds after he got all his shots. I use to take him up to the dog park because my dal and other shepherd loved it (they've long since passed. sniff). Dutch like's it but prefers just to run around locally on our walks. He has regular dogs he runs with.
Dutch loves to play and run he’s completely socialized that way. He will play and run but if the other dog has other plans (I usually watch) he has no problem fighting. Fortunately I can call him out or I bring water because I'm not putting my hand in there.
I was thinking about getting another, but she would have to fit in with Dutch and my cat. My husband decided to get another dog before I was in the picture. He would take his dog at the time and see how they reacted to each other.
Good luck.
