H and Snow

Post by Owned-By-Hendrix »

So during out snow days my brother caught some images of H and I playing in the snow. Apologies if some are super blurry - we had a hard time with ice forming on the lens.

Yup. And snow I threw up in the air. And snow blowing off the roof. And pretty much anything snow. He had a blast eating the neighborhood kids' snowmen, despite my attempts to keep him away he'd find a way to sneak over and take a bite.

Tell us about yourself: My name is Karen and I have a dutch shepherd, Xander, born 6/14/13. He is my second dutch shepherd. My first was Rawly. Even though Xander is my second I still have a lot to learn. That is why I'm here, to learn, get advice, and meet people who love these guys as much as I do.

Those are great pics. He looks like he's having a blast. Xander also loves to catch snowballs but we only get snow about once a year so he doesn't get them much.

Snow in Texas. Saw the mess last night on the news--two feet. You're not in that area, though, I don't think.

Love the first pic.

Thor's been getting a work out with the last round of snow, hurling through it like a draught horse. As long as it's not sub-zero temps, it's a great work out--and the canine equivalent of crack.
Though I can only hope to become the person who my animals believe I am, the things that they have taught me have made me a better human being. ~~~Sharon~~~

It's fairly rare we get what I call "real" snow. Usually it's accumulated sleet, frozen rain, hail, or ice we pass off as snow. We got like 3" and some areas got 6"-8" of beautiful powder snow. H and I were the only ones out constantly in it so H had the pleasure of tracking our footprints from hours previous. He had a blast. I have some videos I should figure out how to upload of him being derp-y in the snow.
