What color collar....
Silly question, I know, but what color did you pick for your dog? Do you change them out, or do you buy the same color when you buy new ones? What drew you to the color or pattern you picked?

Re: What color collar....
This is an interesting question.
If I see a collar at a pet store that I think would look good, I'll buy it. Of course, I have to get one for each dog. This happens about twice a year.
Right now, Radar has a black collar with white bones, and Leela has a pink collar with skulls.

I put a curagon fur saver on them when they are young and switch it out when they are older to their permanent one...

Re: What color collar....
We originally tried to go with something "girlie" for Hilde because everyone assumes she's male for some reason. Pink didn't seem right, so we had a purple one. That didn't really change people's assumptions, and I stopped caring a long time ago. Certain colors seem to work better than others with her reddish brindle shading. Right now she's got a red one, but it's mostly white reflective. I run with her a lot in the wee morning hours, and I want to be sure drivers notice us!

Plain old tan. The coyote color I'd a close match to her lighter markings.

Re: What color collar....
I have two collars waiting for our pup. One light one for getting used too. It's pink. I bought another one in my family tartan colors. More for fashion. After I get to know our new dog I will buy some better colors. I see that people buy ones for fur saving. I need more info on this.
