Re: Eric!! Where were you?
Amersfoort, Rotterdam, den Haag, Tiel, Dieren, Amerongen, Amsterdam, Amersfoort, Apeldoorn, went to Keukenhof, Alkmaar, and finally Amsterdam for Queens Eve and Queens Day
Attended my uncle's 75th birthday celebration and saw quite a bit of my mothers side of the family and also had a dinner with a bunch of my cousins on my father's side of the family.
Good trip! came home tired though...

AHH! You were in Dieren, that's like next door from me
Next time , come on over and meet some Dutch Shepherds... as in DUTCH DS's
Can imagine you came home tired after both Queens eve and Queens-day

Re: Eric!! Where were you?
I haven't looked at the pictures I took yet... but I'll put them up on the Internet at some point. I didn't take the good camera so we will have to see what I was able to capture.
Had NO idea what it would be like in Amsterdam for Queensday...but hanging out with 800,000 of my closest friends was very unique. In some places (i.e. Rembrandtplein) it was so tightly packed that you didn't have a choice on where you were going...you just moved with the crowd.
My body is still adjusting to the time change. Last night I gave up and went to bed at 8:45 - my body thought it was closer to 3 a.m.!!
...
Did not see a single Dutch Shepherd the whole trip.
Thankfully I was able to spend some time with a Golden Lab for two days - so I was able to get my 'dog fix' taken care of. ...but that didn't last long. It didn't take long before I was wanting to have my dog's with me.
