Tell us about yourself: I adopted a Dutch Shepherd mix (without knowing what she was) from the SPCA here in Victoria BC and am now trying to learn everything I can about this breed. My husband and I work from home most of the time so I thought it was time to get a puppy! We have his 2 boys here half the time and we wanted a nice family dog.

Sugar looks like a miniature Dutch Shepherd with floppy ears, and has every ounce of DS traits in her little body!

I hope to learn from other DS owners and share doggy experiences.
Location: Victoria BC

 That was to funny! I feel for the guy, though. One of my Shepherds is psycho about deer and another has a squirrel addiction...it can be trying at times!

I'm pretty sure it wouldn't have mattered much...
To prevent this (dog driving deer over a busy road!!!) I have finally, after 3 years of trying, decided to buy a e-collar. I did use a come command, and the whole thing described by Eva but in Dutch :D, and a box with rattling stones, and a 15m line, and a prong, and and and... she's obsessed  I had to snap her out of it, and e-collar works! She wears it all the time but I have used it only like 5 times, she got it right away 8-) So now I can actually laugh about a video like this instead of panicking

I simulataneously laughed until I teared while feeling his pain.

Bill Cosby, who I adore, has an old skit where he says for the first part of he and brother's lives, they thought their names were Jesus Christ and God Damn It.

I think anyone who has a dog that loves to chase things can relate to this and feel for the guy (and deer). I've watched it a few times and keep laughing my head off.

I admit, I have a dog who does this with flocks of geese. He just can not leave them be! But he never would leave my sight. And he's always so proud of himself for making those geese fly away.

Tell us about yourself: I am in New York State. Got my first DS about 14 years ago (more or less as a rescue- lost her in Nov.). After years of GSD's, and a few dogs of other breeds (Rotti/Beauceron/Ger. Shorthaired Pointer/ Yorkie and my current Jack Russell) I now have another DS, 4mo female, no name yet, tho I have a few in mind.
Also have a horse-old quarter horse mare-32.
Can't wait for all the snow to get gone! Spring is coming too slow this year!

Thank God (or Jesus Christ) that Dutchies don't have wings! (Tho I've heard some of them "fly" pretty high-especially with those sling shots) :D
