OMG - I can't even imagine raising 2 puppies at once! 1 is more than enough work. I'm thinking 4-5 years is good spacing. So you have an older dog and a middle aged dog and a puppy. If you're lucky (and they live a long life) then you'd end up with 4 dogs at most.

Same strategy I used with kids- One is 7, the other 3... my oldest was WELL potty trained, and had 'house manners' by the time baby sister came along. Didn't bring in a DS till the youngest was 2! (and that was sheer luck, she would have been older, if Koenig hasn't fallen into my lap)

2 litter mates is trouble, IMO. ESPECIALLY with a high drive breed, like our Dutch Shepherds! No thanks! ;)

I had my kids back to back, not a big deal, got it over with, Dogs, dunno, If the circumstances are right. I would NOT do two puppies though, but a year or so apart, only if I didnt have kids and a loaded gun handy

Would the gun be for you or the pups?
I agree tho--2 pups at once are trouble unless you have kennels, can separate them and work with them as individuals, AND keep from having an accidental breeding between siblings. :o Raising 2 together in a normal household setting and having a good outcome is not likely to happen unless you really know what you are doing, and have the tools to cope with them. :pint:
