Hi, thanks everyone for the concern. Ya, pretty scary!
No more swelling thank goodness. The day after it happened tho (yesterday) she wanted to eat grass all day. She kept going to the door and asking to go out and then would just eat grass. She threw up her breakfast sprinkled with grass and again later in the day on her walk. As we were walking, she would try to reach over to the grass on the side of the trail and grab a mouthful. From the medication perhaps??

Just got up this morning so we will see how it goes.
As far as the swelling, the vet said she would probably never know what it was, but seeing as she was sleeping, my guess would be a spider came along and sat down beside her...I did talk to the vet about the itchyness and asked if she thought it was connected. She said probably only to the extent that Sugar would be prone to allergy reactions. She said she could be itchy from an allergic reaction to a flea bite, or something in the house. She looked her over and found no fleas or anything.
For $740 we can have Intradermal Skin Testing done to see what environmental allergies she could be allergic to, then treatment would be something like Benadryl or Douxo shampooing. We will skip the big bill and just try a treatment to keep her comfortable. I asked about extra virgin coconut oil and she said the Omega 3 supplement is more of a proven thing and that is something else we could try to see if it helps. I will supplement her diet with an oil as a natural remedy would be my first choice.
