Getting into K9 training?

Post by Matt »

Hey everyone. I've been trying to figure out (quite unsuccessfully) if there were any places (or anybody) I could learn from when it comes to dog training (specifically protection training) prior to owning a dog of my own. I would really like having some hands on experience when the time comes. I am located on Long Island, New York if that's relevant for anything. Anyone have any ideas?

Regards!

Thanks a lot, those are all awesome links. I spent an hour last night watching Michael Ellis' video. Good stuff.

Love Micheal Ellis.
Though I can only hope to become the person who my animals believe I am, the things that they have taught me have made me a better human being. ~~~Sharon~~~
