My name is Nico. My dog is named Cola, she is a 16 month old DS. I got her from Northwoods K9 and she is the best dog ever!
We live in Brooklyn NY. Cola has the benefit of a back yard and a big park across the street as well as other parks close by.
She has done some preliminary Shutzhund / IPO training, Agility and Obedience.
When I used to come here (DS Forum) I was a brand new owner of a puppy and neurotic and anxious as all hell with her.
I am happy to say she has overcome just about every issue she had, both real and imagined.
In her time she has made a few other DS pals in the area. in fact they seem to be her preference friend-wise.
Most of the time she can't really be bothered.
Anyway. Just want to say hello again to all the folks who have helped me out in the past and say that I am looking forward to hopefully being able to help folks benefit by sharing my experience on here as well.

She has done some preliminary Schutzhund work as well as agility and obedience. She 100% has a mind of her own, which is ok by me, as it's a brilliant one! Cola seemingly understands natural English and learns new tricks wit just one or two reps.

- Tell us about yourself: Artist, Mother, Equestrienne, Educator, Homesteader wannabe, dog-lover. Not counting my current DS, I have had 2 GSDs and 3 rescued mixed-breeds. All of these dogs were rescues, except for my childhood GSD, who was a gift from my parents when I was 7, and my current DS who I bartered artwork for from the breeder. Maiyou, one of my current dogs, is a Pitbull/New Guinea Singing Dog of 13 years old. Still very active and "Young" in nature. I now also have a DS named Mokume, (pronounced "Moh-koo-meh") or "Moko" for short. Newest member of our pack is Freyja, a random mixed hound I rescued during a horseback trip in the middle of a state forest.
