Tell us about yourself: DS and Mal foster newly approved aug'12 by NADSR and ABMCR. high-functioning Autistic in nyc/hamptons in my 60's. Rescued the smartest dog i had ever seen off nyc street in 2000. Tracedog's intelligence exceeded by multiples my judgement that day. My first [and only as of 10/2012] dog turned out to be a DS, perhaps with a touch of something else, but attention to detail, behavioral traits, and physical habits, movement, and skill identical to DS. But MUCH more intellectual ability. supremely confident in all settings, fearless, very outgoing and social with people and friendly with dogs. Seldom apart in over 12 years, Trace Dog was the most important relationship of my adult life; he was my partner. He died july17,2012. i am dying without him. www.youtube.com/tracesobaka www.dogster.com/dogs/637612

TRACER 14 months old on the 4th

Post by johninny »

his 1st photo and my 1st view was the first pic below taken last July 4th at CherCar.

and then some photos from the last couple days. [ no pics, but yesterday he got to spend 4 HOURS at the beach, with me going in the bay with the dogs for the first time since last summer. he turns out to be quite the swimmer.]

Not that your other dogs aren't lookers (and really, who ever heard of a DS who hurt the eyes?), but Tracer is just drop-dead handsome.
Though I can only hope to become the person who my animals believe I am, the things that they have taught me have made me a better human being. ~~~Sharon~~~

thank you. out in public, Xander is the recipient of most admiration for his ebullient personality and the many stunning flashes of red in his coat - let's just say for Xander's flashiness in general. Xander is a total package that few can resist.
but the few people who really know DS are just stunned by Tracer's seemingly perfect conformation and the grace and precision of his movement. he is very capable.

I would have to guess the fact that he is so dark would scare people. He is such a beautiful boy !!!! I love how deep his color is.

Lisa, one would think so, but whenever we leave the home property he has a light and airy demeanor that puts people at ease. [ though, quite the opposite when patrolling the property fences; he is simply the most ferocious of the 3 in demanding that people keep off the property. ]

people are much more intimidated by Xander, who, when he is not in his outright ebullient puppy mode, can take on a very serious demeanor which when combined with his BIG-FUR body and lion's mane neck is very imposing and intimidating.

thanks everyone.
