Tell us about yourself: I am a mom of 6 life forces - 2 kids and 3 dogs 1 hamster. I live in Ct. I have trained Ringsport and Agility and have 2 DS, one 15 and 7 and a Basset Hound Cookie who is 2
Tell us about yourself: My name is Karen and I have a dutch shepherd, Xander, born 6/14/13. He is my second dutch shepherd. My first was Rawly. Even though Xander is my second I still have a lot to learn. That is why I'm here, to learn, get advice, and meet people who love these guys as much as I do.
Haha. One of my first posts here was about ears. I didnt think Xander's would ever stay up. I taped them so many times. I was horrible at it. He was about 9 1/2 months before they really stood up and stayed. Looking back I laugh at myself for being so worried about his ears. I should have listened to everyone who kept telling me that if they ever stood up once, which they did for a couple weeks when he was young, they would eventually come back up. Xander was just a late bloomer.
I'm hoping when they are up, people will stop asking me if they're pit bulls.
They probably won't, though. Shoot, when we first found him, I knew he was some kind of shepherd, but I thought there might have been pit bull in there, too. Mostly because he was found in Flint, though.
Tell us about yourself: Parent of a rescued pup, Epona. She was abandoned with 6 of her siblings in the woods without any food or their mama. She's definitely a mix but it looks like she has some features of a DS! She loves to chew on things and is very hyper!
Oh my! He looks funny! How cute! I've had ppeople asking me if Epona was a German Shepherd/Pit bull mix because of her ears, the white chest and brindle!
