Tell us about yourself: I have just adopted a 3 yr old Dutch Shepherd. He was abandoned by his owner and I was helping a friend find a home for him for the last month until I finally just fell so in love with him and couldn't part. Before this, I'd actually been preparing to rescue a greyhound and did so much research. But now that plans have changed, I've found myself with dog whose breed I know absolutely nothing about! They seem kind of rare too. Other than this forum, I've found bare bones info on Dutch Shepherds. Gonna need all the knowledge and help I can get!

Hi!

I have officially adopted a 3 year old Dutch Shepherd named Rocky as of today! He was abandoned by his owner :evil: and his roommate (my friend) had not been ready yet for a dog in his life. I had already been planning to adopt a greyhound rescue for the last 5 years, but Rocky swooped in first and stole my heart away over the course of 3 weeks.

Through the entire process I've learned just how little info about Dutch Sheperds can be found elsewhere, and this forum has basically become my DS encyclopedia. But I'm excited to be a member here, as I can finally proudly say I'm an official Dutch Shepherd owner. :D

Tell us about yourself: I have a 12 week old dutch shepherd that my trainer got for me to train in schutzhund. This is my 1st dutch shepherd, I have always had german shepherds. Currently, I have 4 dogs.
