I never really thought about it, but now am curious- when determining the age of a puppy in months, does one count the number of weeks and divide by ~4, or does one count the months from birth date?
If the first method, then the puppy could be be nearly a month older than the using the second method.
Not particularly important. Just curious.
Thanks,
Lisa G.

- Tell us about yourself: I love Shepherds- German, Dutch and Belgian. I recently lost my 16.5 y/o GSD mix and was hoping to find a GSD or DS mix. I totally lucked out in finding Grendel, a DS/GSD mix at 9.5 weeks old. She was filthy and flea-ridden, but still the cutest, craziest thing ever. She's going to live up to her name! First dog I've had that I've actually seen the parents and definitely know what she is!

Re: Calculating puppy's age?
im pretty certain when people say my dog is ___ months old theyre counting a weekx4, not january, feb, march ect. so either way it should be the same number, always in weeks, and a month is 4 weeks.
