So, Geyser and I were hiking in the Shenandoah National Forest today, on a trail that leads to a couple of waterfalls. I finally made it to a waterfall! I was so jazzed, as I usually end up having to turn around before making it to any falls, on any trail .

Along this descending river, which is very low since it's high summer, there were a few nice looking pools. It was hot...so we decided to take a dip. One of these days, I'll get smart and start wearing my bathing suit under my clothes for this kind of hiking , but today, I had to go in my undies. Oh well...

So, I take off my shorts and Tshirt and hiking boots and sox and stuff, and pile it all up nicely on some rocks away from the water. We go in and have some fun in the cool stream and pool...then my little darling gets out and goes right on up to my stuff and shakes all over the pile! Every single time she gets out, she goes and shakes all over my stuff! Without fail!

My GSD used to do the same thing. You think I'd know by now that this is exactly what's gonna happen. I was thinking that I should look for a waterproof backpack . I was glad I'd ended up not bringing my camera, which would've been in one of my shorts pockets and would have gotten all wet.

It sure was a fun hike, tho

Thalie does the same thing without fail ! When ever she shakes after swimming she walks right behind me and shakes !

Slip one of those plastic grocery bags in your pocket to put your clothes in next time! Sounds like a fun place to hike. Pictures next time please.

I would have LOVED a cool creek and wet clothes afterwards, are you kidding?
(But yes, it sucks when it is already nasty, wet and rainy, which is when this stuff usually happens to me

Gwen is a shirt stealer... beware the DS when putting on your shirt.. I can't tell you how many times she has stolen my husbands t shirt while he was trying to get dressed and run around the house "killing" them. I am no help at all either.. I am too busy laughing
