We may try Dock Dogs with our new dog. He has a strong ball drive, and I think he would really enjoy having this as a job to do!
Here is a DS in his first competition.

I think the world record jump of 31'+ is co-held by a Dutch Shepherd.

- Tell us about yourself: Almost 50, and my fiancee' and I adopted a dog from Forever Home Sanctuary in Knotts Island NC. We think he is at least part DS, and have had him for only a few days. He will chase a ball until he drops, and we are thinking about Dock Dogs to keep him busy!

- Tell us about yourself: I adopted a Dutch Shepherd mix (without knowing what she was) from the SPCA here in Victoria BC and am now trying to learn everything I can about this breed. My husband and I work from home most of the time so I thought it was time to get a puppy! We have his 2 boys here half the time and we wanted a nice family dog.
Sugar looks like a miniature Dutch Shepherd with floppy ears, and has every ounce of DS traits in her little body!
I hope to learn from other DS owners and share doggy experiences. - Location: Victoria BC

I love dock diving and wish there was more opportunity here in Middle TN. If you find the NADSR Dutch Shepherd Rescue facebook page, you can see the pictures that were in the fundraising calendar. There is an AWESOME dock diving Dutch! Can't wait to see your pics!
