Hi!

My name is Kamila and I'm form Poland ;) I'm not a DS owner yet, but I would like to have one in the future, so here I'm to learn more about this breed. They are pretty rare here (only a few dogs in whole country), but I've met two dogs and I really want one :D Right now I have a small mix from shelter named Szafir (13 yr old) and I can't have another dog, but I hope that in a few years... :)

Tell us about yourself: I like Dutch Shepherddogs, especially the roughcoat. At the moment we have three dogs, two DS (one female who is 10 years and one male who is six months) and one male Laekenois at the age of three. We live in the north of The Netherlands.

Tell us about yourself: I adopted a Dutch Shepherd mix (without knowing what she was) from the SPCA here in Victoria BC and am now trying to learn everything I can about this breed. My husband and I work from home most of the time so I thought it was time to get a puppy! We have his 2 boys here half the time and we wanted a nice family dog.

Sugar looks like a miniature Dutch Shepherd with floppy ears, and has every ounce of DS traits in her little body!

I hope to learn from other DS owners and share doggy experiences.

Tell us about yourself: I am in New York State. Got my first DS about 14 years ago (more or less as a rescue- lost her in Nov.). After years of GSD's, and a few dogs of other breeds (Rotti/Beauceron/Ger. Shorthaired Pointer/ Yorkie and my current Jack Russell) I now have another DS, 4mo female, no name yet, tho I have a few in mind.
Also have a horse-old quarter horse mare-32.
Can't wait for all the snow to get gone! Spring is coming too slow this year!

yep! I'm happy because of that :) We have like 6-7 shorthairs (I think) and one longhair here. One female I have met on agility competitions, one male on the dog show (but this dog was from Czech Republic ;)). I also know (just online) another DS owner who live too far from me unfortunately to meet her, but who knows? maybe some day :) I also saw that only longhair female a few years ago when I even didn't think I would like to have one some day ;)

I would like to do obedience with my future dog and also some other kind of sport like agility, frisbee or something. I would like to try IPO (schutzhund) also, but I'm not sure if I get the chance (there is no good trainer in my area for this right now I think) - we will see.

I know a sister (Izaa) and a brother (Ibo-Marley) of Itske, nice dogs!

And Avatar Max is of Gina Grace vd 's-Gravenschans. I used her brother, Geron-Basko for our first litter ;)

Tell us about yourself: grew up with german shepherds and so did my hubby. Also had a bichon. Got married and got a bichon and a bernese mountain dog, sadly roxie passed away this august. =( Tulla needs a fur sister and my boys need big dog. Have fallen in love with the dutch shepherd!! Hope to own one soon!!!

Itske is nice too ;) She is Junior Champion and Champion of Poland, Club Winner 2008, 2011, 2xBOG I, BOG II, several CACIBs. Also she received HWT (Herding Working Test certificate) this year.

Your 15 year old is PRECIOUS! Great focus and obedience and the tail never stops waging. :wtg:

Tell us about yourself: First Dutch owned. Was bought for my daughter and the family. Currently going through obedience classes. I am former military and currently working for a law enforcement agency. Have had labs most of my life and a friend introduced me to his Dutch and my family fell in love. Our current one is a female named pepper and is just now 3 months old. I would like to possibly train her for search and rescue
